1. Acceptance of Terms

2. Description of Service

Chip Chad is a machining calculator and guidance tool intended to provide estimated feeds, speeds, and related machining reference information.

Chip Chad is provided for informational, educational, and experimental purposes only.

3. Operator Identity

Chip Chad is a personal project operated by Lyle Lohman, hereinafter referred to as "Made Lyle Style."

4. No Professional Advice

Chip Chad does not provide engineering, machining, manufacturing, safety, legal, or other professional advice.

All outputs, recommendations, estimates, and calculations are provided as general informational guidance only. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any values before use and for determining whether any output is appropriate for your machine, tooling, material, setup, skill level, and operating conditions.

5. Assumption of Risk

Machining and related fabrication activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to equipment damage, tool breakage, material loss, fire, and serious personal injury.

By using Chip Chad, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that you are solely responsible for your own decisions, actions, and results.

6. User Responsibility

You agree that you will:

• use Chip Chad at your own risk;
• apply appropriate judgment, training, and safety practices;
• follow applicable manufacturer instructions, shop procedures, and industry best practices; and
• not rely solely on Chip Chad for safety-critical, production-critical, or mission-critical decisions.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Chip Chad is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Made Lyle Style disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, and suitability for any particular machine, tool, material, or application.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Made Lyle Style shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your access to, use of, inability to use, or reliance on Chip Chad.

This limitation includes, without limitation, damages for personal injury, death, equipment damage, tool damage, material loss, lost profits, lost business opportunities, production downtime, data loss, or other intangible losses, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

If, notwithstanding the foregoing, liability is imposed, the total liability of Made Lyle Style for any claim arising out of or relating to Chip Chad shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid, if any, to use Chip Chad during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one U.S. dollar (US $1.00).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Made Lyle Style from and against any claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys fees, arising out of or relating to:

• your use of Chip Chad;
• your violation of these Terms; or
• your reliance on any output, recommendation, or calculation generated by Chip Chad.

10. Intellectual Property

All original content, branding, design elements, software, text, graphics, logos, and functionality of Chip Chad, excluding any third-party materials or components used under their respective licenses, are owned by or licensed to Made Lyle Style and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not, without prior written permission, copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, or use the Chip Chad branding or original site content except as allowed by law.

11. Third-Party Materials and Links

Chip Chad may contain links to third-party websites, services, tools, libraries, or resources, or may incorporate third-party software or materials.

No responsibility is assumed for the content, policies, availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party website, service, or resource. Your use of any third-party resource is at your own risk and subject to that third party terms and policies.

12. Modifications to the Service or Terms

Chip Chad and these Terms may be changed, updated, suspended, or discontinued at any time, with or without notice.

Any updates to these Terms will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Chip Chad after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Made Lyle Style regarding your use of Chip Chad and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, understandings, or agreements relating to that subject matter.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Venue

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Chip Chad shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
